Competitiveness Management

Years of research in modern approaches to competitiveness assessment and management, combined with practical experience in successful joint projects with leading Russian and international companies on developing plans and achieving desired market positions, enable IRP Technology to offer you cooperation in addressing the following tasks:

  • Assessment and forecasting of product competitiveness factors across your company’s core business areas — comparative analysis of your market positioning relative to key competitors;
  • Assessment and forecasting of operational competitiveness factors — analysis of your company’s resources and constraints in relation to the current product portfolio;
  • Substantiation of the core competency structure and product portfolio to achieve the desired competitive market position.

IRP Technology’s methodological framework for competitiveness management is based on a systematic approach to competitiveness management using the Matrix of Core Competencies (MCC approach). For over a decade, the MCC approach has been widely applied in managing the competitiveness of territorial administrative units, as well as Russian and international organizations in both commercial and public sectors.

We offer our clients a comprehensive analysis of competitiveness factors, enabling them to make informed operational and strategic management decisions. Competitiveness factors are analyzed across three interconnected circuits:

  • Circuit 1 reflects the object under study from the perspective of product competitiveness, defining the structure of factors that characterize the products (goods/services) in the relevant business area as perceived by consumers.
  • Circuit 2 reflects the object under study from the perspective of operational competitiveness, defining the structure of factors that create the necessary conditions for producing the products (goods/services) in question.
  • Circuit 3 reflects the composition of the core competencies of the object under study. These competencies are a subset of the factors from Circuit 2. They provide a competitive advantage and are justified based on the optimal balance between performance and the resources expended.

Our approach helps companies better understand and effectively manage their competitiveness in a complex competitive environment.
