Interdisciplinary student and corporate projects in cooperation with universities, government bodies and industrial enterprises

Current trends in the global economy and international relations, combined with new technological capabilities, including in the IT sector, significantly increase the importance of understanding the features of doing business in different countries, awareness of the features and professional use of project and operational management tools in international business, and the need to develop and update international company development strategies.

The educational projects of HSE University“Features of Doing Business in Different Countries”, “Project and Process Management in International Business”, and “Development and Implementation of International Company Strategy” — are designed to structure theoretical approaches and provide practical tools for planning and managing international business, operational management, and the practical development of strategies for international companies.

The principles of the competitiveness management methodology for social-economic entities are applied in the delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses at HSE University related to managerial decision-making in the following areas:

  • Management of international company competitiveness
  • Modern methods of analysis and forecasting in international business
  • Fundamentals of developing and implementing an international company strategy
  • Management decision-making in international business

These courses introduce students to the key factors and patterns that determine competitiveness in international markets. They combine theoretical foundations with practical skills for a comprehensive assessment of internal and external factors affecting international competitiveness, and for developing well-founded proposals to enhance it. The curriculum covers functional management, quantitative (including financial) analysis, information systematisation methods, as well as project, process, operational and strategic management as tools for supporting and improving international competitiveness for both business and government.
