IRP Technology Representatives Present at the XIII Yasin International Academic Conference

On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, a joint report by S.S. Vanina, A.N. Galkina, A.Y. Podchufarov, and S.L. Solovyov (Scientific Director of VNIIAES JSC) was presented on the topic “Hydrogen-Nuclear Energy in the Context of the Contemporary Climate Agenda and the Projected Energy Transition.”

During the presentation, delivered within the section dedicated to the challenges of decarbonizing the global economy, the authors presented their vision of the potential role of hydrogen-nuclear energy in the context of current climate and energy trends. Special attention was given to aspects of changes in the average cost of energy carriers depending on global energy scenarios both with and without cross-border carbon regulation, the hydrogen value chain, the key characteristics of nuclear and hydrogen energy, and the potential for enhancing the competitiveness of national economies through the development of hydrogen-nuclear energy, illustrated with examples from developed and developing countries.
