Master Class by IRP Technology Executive Director I.S. Weber as Part of the PC³ Student Project Work

In December 2020, a master class was held for participants of the PC³ project teams, delivered by Irina S. Weber, Executive Director of IRP Technology, on identifying competitiveness factors and building a competitiveness assessment model based on the Matrix of Core Competencies (MCC model).

Within the MCC model, subjects of socio-economic relations are analyzed under conditions of competitive interaction across a set of equilibrium states, determined by the relationship between market position indicators (MP) and competitiveness (C) assessments, which take into account the integral influence of the factors considered in the model (integral competitiveness assessment). The model consists of three circuits, but for the work on the PC³ prototype, the project teams primarily use two of them.

Circuit 1 reflects the object under study from the perspective of product competitiveness and defines the structure of factors characterizing the products (goods/services). Circuit 2 reflects the object under study from the perspective of operational competitiveness and defines the structure of factors that create the necessary conditions for producing the products (goods/services) in question. The use of these two circuits provides a systematic view of the factors influencing competitiveness, which is particularly important for the “Business Analytics and Financial Modeling” team, whose tasks include assessing the competitiveness of both the PC³ (the prototype under development) and its pilot projects.
